Born of hasty fire that quenched on as it reaped,
as of the thorny stalk is born the rose,
then when I rise forgetful from my sleep,
all consolation fades out indisposed.
Shroud expendable anatomy new;
shy from radiant light, toward dark bliss.
Set flames which eventually lick my hue -
ashes adorned in glorifying embrace!
Now lying prostate, useless, yet I know -
incapable of essence anymore,
let interval ease eternal ego
till someone harvests scrap and let encore,
like love that's passed down onto old kinsmen -
rekindle. Set a match to me again!
